Tenet’s history goes back to the 1980s, but it was in 1992 when the business really started to take shape when the M&E Network was launched.
Designed with the needs of financial advisers in mind, M&E Network brought advisers to a single place for the provision of expert support and tailored services at a time when they needed it the most - due to new regulation enforcing them to choose whether to be tied or independent.
The Group continued to be successful and, in 1999, we acquired Interdependence Ltd (a company with a similar offering to M&E) and launched the Tenet Group.
Since then, Tenet has continued to grow, acquire other businesses and develop more services - all designed to provide support and backing to our advisers - whatever their status or needs. From compliance and training, to product research and business development support - all within the ever-changing and highly-regulated financial services market.
As Tenet grew, we retained our independence, rejecting the chance to float on the stock market, in order that we could continue to focus on providing a first class service to our advisers.
Today, Tenet has the same values, individuality and objectives as we did all those years ago - to provide an unrivalled choice and expertise for our advisers.

Over the last few years we have won numerous industry awards. Our most recent accolade was in November 2018 where it was announced Tenet had come top in FT Adviser’s Top 100 Financial Advisers. Also in 2018 we won BEST NETWORK from Money Marketing for the third time in four years.
Over the last couple of years, we have also won a Business Quality Award for customer excellence from Legal & General, recognition as a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer from the National Apprenticeship Service, an ‘exceptional’ three-star accreditation from Investor In Customers, and also a one star ‘very good’ Best Company accolade.
